Privacy Policy
At WildCalculators (accessible from www.wildcalculators.com), your privacy is our foundational architectural principle. This policy provides complete transparency regarding how our client-side calculators operate, how analytical telemetry is handled via Google Analytics 4, and how search engine communication functions via Microsoft Bing Webmaster Tools and the IndexNow protocol.
1. Client-Side Computational Architecture
WildCalculators is engineered with a strict privacy-by-design architecture. When you utilize any of our 100+ calculators—including mortgage estimates, loan schedules, BMI assessments, calorie counters, percentage equations, or date differences—all calculations are executed exclusively inside your local web browser’s JavaScript engine.
- Your input figures (salaries, debts, weights, dates, personal financial parameters) are never transmitted to our web servers.
- We do not log, retain, or share computational inputs in any persistent database.
- Once you close or refresh your browser tab, your temporary calculator input values are immediately discarded.
2. Google Analytics 4 & Consent Mode v2
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) (Measurement ID: G-6W8C8PWV1B), an analytical service operated by Google LLC (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA).
GA4 helps us evaluate aggregated metrics to ensure optimal site availability, monitor error rates, and improve calculation features. The information collected includes:
- Aggregated page views, browser user-agent, device category, screen resolution, and approximate geographic location (country and city level).
- Anonymized calculator telemetry events (e.g. calculation completions and result copy actions) to determine tool utility.
- General navigation metrics such as scroll depth and session duration.
analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization) remain strictly denied. IP anonymization is permanently enabled by default in GA4. We do not use Google Signals for cross-device advertising, nor do we run personalized remarketing.3. Microsoft Bing Webmaster Tools & IndexNow Protocol
WildCalculators is verified with Microsoft Bing Webmaster Tools (operated by Microsoft Corporation, One Microsoft Way, Redmond, WA 98052, USA) and supports the open IndexNow protocol (api.indexnow.org), which is co-supported by Microsoft Bing, Yandex, and Seznam.
- Purpose of IndexNow: Whenever new calculator pages, mathematical formulas, or documentation are added or updated, our deployment pipeline alerts participating search engines in real time to crawl and index the updated public URL.
- Zero User Data Transmission: IndexNow submissions contain only publicly accessible web addresses (e.g.,
https://www.wildcalculators.com/401k-calculator/) and static domain ownership verification keys (f517fe8e744344fb8758b462ad417d7c.txt,BingSiteAuth.xml). No user IP addresses, browsing sessions, or personal visitor data are ever transmitted to IndexNow or Bing Webmaster endpoints. - Search Analytics: Aggregated crawl frequency and organic search impression trends provided in the Bing Webmaster dashboard are entirely anonymized and cannot identify individual users.
4. Vercel Hosting & Edge Performance
WildCalculators is hosted globally on Vercel (Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA).
Standard HTTP connection logs (including IP addresses, requesting browser headers, and requested assets) are processed by Vercel's edge nodes strictly to route requests, deliver SSL/TLS encryption, and defend against automated Denial-of-Service (DDoS) threats. Additionally, first-party Vercel Web Analytics gathers cookieless Core Web Vitals (LCP, FID, CLS, INP) without tracking users across domains.
5. Cookie Management & Your Preferences
We categorize cookies into two distinct groups:
Essential for website routing, regional currency selection, and storing your cookie preferences. Always active; does not collect personal identifiers.
Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_*) used exclusively to evaluate site performance and feature usage. Only activated if you click "Accept All".
6. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA/CPRA)
Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), you retain the right to:
- Withdraw cookie or analytics consent at any time without penalty.
- Request confirmation regarding any data stored or processed.
- Object to automated processing or request erasure of technical logs.
- Opt out of any potential sale or sharing of personal data (WildCalculators does not sell personal data under any circumstances).
